Mike Klay of Powerslide Design

I was lucky enough to be introduced to Mike Klay's work at Flatstock 14 during last year's Bumbershoot. (Not to brag or anything, but I snagged one of his "Northwest Elk" prints (pictured below) that is staring at me while I type this.)

Mike has some INCREDIBLE prints! And, while I'm more interested in his art prints, his gig posters are still ridiculously beautiful! (Uh, for some reason I didn't upload any of those band posters though. Sorry.)

Mike will be at Flatstock 18 during Bumbershoot this weekend but if you can't wait (or, like me, can't stand the crowds and, thus, don't have tickets to the 'Shoot) you can currently see some of his work at Annie's Art and Frame in Ballard! OR order online!

FourFour Neighborhoodies Shirts

You are probably already aware that Neighborhoodies is in the midst of their "Think Ups" series. If not, "Think Ups", bascially, is when Neighborhoodies asks a noted blogger to come up with a week's worth of pop culture ideas which are then translated into shirts.

The reason I'm so excited is because Rich from FourFour's shirts were the inaugural run!

Check out all of Rich's shirts here! I'll be busy debating whether or not I should get the "Team Winston", "Smile with your Eyes" or both.

Yo Gabba Gabba Mural!

I heart "YGG" even thought I'm over the age of 3. So you can imagine how happy I was when I saw this mural of the characters on Gabba Friends yesterday!

Check out the progression of the whole mural here! It's AWESOME! (just like sharing)

Bring and Brag Lab

Just a reminder that tonight is the Bring and Brag Lab at Velocity!

Ali from Velocity describes tonight's event in a Seattle Metblog interview as being “a show and tell featuring locals artists and designers who will have a few minutes to talk about their creative endeavor or business. It’s a way to see what’s going on in Seattle’s creative community, network, and be inspired.”

Kristen from Schmancy/Plush You!, Jessie from Cakespy and I will be three among many presenting tonight! Please drop by Velocity tonight from 6-8p and show us some love!

Chunk love Sloth

This past weekend in Seattle was hot. Even though I was raised in warmer climes than the Pacific Northwest, heat waves make me move as slowly as these sloths.

weller's "mr wicklow"

apack's "enticing invitation"

welcome to the dollhouse's "sloth with cheetos"

Today I was searching for happiness on Etsy. By that I mean that I typed "happiness" into the search box and clicked through the results. Here's what I found!

dazeychic's "so very happy" print

idstudio's "penny wise the frugal hob"

tummy mountain's "a light in the dark"

bella bella's "happy rhino print".
